How does Plasma Therapy work?
When injected at the site of pain, plasma helps stimulate the repair and regrowth of cartilage, increases the joint’s natural lubricating fluid, and contains proteins that can alter pain receptors. It is minimally invasive, drug-free, and free of steroids and medications.
Blood draw
A blood sample is taken in the office.
Centrifuge spin
The blood is spun in a centrifuge at high speed; red blood cells settle to the bottom while the plasma-enriched fluid rises to the top.
Injection
The plasma is extracted and injected directly into the affected area. The whole visit is usually done in less than half an hour.
